This project is part of the ongoing Niger Livestock Sustainable Development Strategy (SDDE-2012-2035) which aims for significative participation of the livestock sector to guarantee food and nutrition security; to improve socio-economic conditions of the population through sustainable environment management. The project’s core objective is the creation of a modern animal feed production plant to better meet the food demands of Nigerien herds and also to ensure economic feasibility of breeding activities by cost reduction in the poultry industry, which is growing fast in Niger, thereby justifying the relevance of this project.
