ENERGY MIX THROUGH THE INSTALLATION OF CONCENTRATED SOLAR POWER PLANTS
Project manager: National Solar Energy Centre
Estimated cost (USD): USD 440 million
Estimated cost (FCFA): FCFA 220 billion
To meet the electric power production deficit challenge, solar energy plants remain an important and feasible option, in view of Niger’s geographic location, benefiting from 365 days of sun per year. The objective of this project is to establish a power mix through concentrated solar power plants to bridge Niger’s power deficit gap.
- Meet high national power demands;
- Promote renewable energy sources;
- Diversify the power offering in Niger.
