Niger has a high capacity for oilseed production and with this project it intends to create a groundnut, sesame and soya processing plant to produce edible oil in response to increasing household demand. The project will be set up on the outskirts of the city of Gaya, which has the specific attribute of being on the Benin, Nigeria and Burkina Faso borders. It will be built on 6-hectare area with a processing capacity of 49,000 tons of grain per year.
