Niger depends essentially on agricultural products which make up 70% of national crops and 30% of imports. However, all jute bags used for the consumption of food products are imported. The project to set up a jute bag manufacturing plant, for wrapping, packaging and transport of dry, floury cereal products will satisfy strong national demand and bring an end to the exclusive dependence on importation of household consumer products. The manufacturing plant will be set up at PK, 10 km towards Dosso. Niger Bibo is searching for a financial and technical partner for the construction of buildings to house the jute bag manufacturing unit, purchasing of machines, electric machines, notably 2 high-capacity generators (100 Ă  200 kW). In addition, Niger Tissage would like to build a stock of machine-tools and spare parts in anticipation of machine wear and tear. Lastly, the company is investing in the technical training of its personnel by requesting the support of a technical engineer.

Benefits

  • Meet strong national demand for jute bags (used daily across the entire national territory);
  • Dominant position for the Nigerien market;
  • Export of jute bags to the sub-region countries such as Burkina Faso, Togo, Mali and Benin.
